This RDS (Removable Deployment System) is easy to use and works great with leading high performance canopies. Employing new technology, this slider is said to maintain or actually improve the opening characteristics over stock sliders. After opening, the slider, deployment bag, and pilot chute can be easily removed and stowed for decreased drag and increased performance. These sliders are custom made to match the manufacturer's original slider dimensions. Normal turnaround times are 2 weeks. If you are in a hurry, consider rush service ($20 extra).

The original Para Concepts RDS rings were made of a combination of normal slider grommets set into plastic. This worked well, but the newer all metal rings worked better, offering a solution which was lighter, smoother, and had less potential for wear to other components. Introduced in July 2008, the third generation of our slider rings are made of a lightweight very hard alloy, offering an even better solution. All Para Concepts sliders and rings are compatible, so feel free to get an extra set of rings to share a slider between two canopies.
