The Omega is a slight elliptical 7-cell zero-porosity canopy and was newly developed by Icarus, because the demand for this segment of canopy type has strongly increased in the recent years. It was drafted as all around canopy, which can be flown stress free, makes a lot of fun and only has a small pack volume. The flight characteristics are uncomplicated, the openings are very soft and the landings very comfortable.

With a low wing loading (below 0.9 lbs/ft²) the Omega is very well suited for student retraining or as a entry level parachute. With higher wing loadings (up to 1.5 lbs/ft²) the canopy has more performance without losing the good character properties. Recommended is a wing loading between 0.75 –1.50 lbs/ft².
